Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to lift breasts which have sagged over time due to gravity, aging, weight loss, pregnancy or breastfeeding. There are several different techniques. The technique chosen depends on several factors.
As the skin loses its elasticity, the breasts tend to elongate and lose their more youthful form. The nipples tend to descend downwards to a varying degree.

Who is suitable for mastopexy?

Most adult females who are in good general health and are not breast-feeding are suitable for mastopexy, provided that their expectations are realistic. If you are planning to still have children it is a good idea to wait until you no longer wish to have any additional children.

Who is not suitable for mastopexy?

With a few exceptions, Cosmetic Surgery procedures are elective, ie not carried out for medical reasons. Therefore you must be in the best possible state of health and fit for surgery. This does not mean you will be excluded if you have a medical condition, but it may then be necessary to consult other specialist physicians to ensure that you are fit for surgery. Please remember that your health and welfare are my prime concern.
